Zee Turner Center in Action

The Zee Turner Center has a diverse portfolio of community health worker (CHW) programs and initiatives. Since 2013, the most impactful programs have covered topics such as heart failure, HIV medical care, COVID-19 response and recovery, CHW training, and more. Our extensive experience and success have made us a notable resource for regional programs and organizations.

When effectively designed and implemented, CHW programs are important aspects of community-based public health and healthcare systems. The Zee Turner Center is engaged in creating an equitable, scalable, and adaptive range of activities, including:

Training And Technical Assistance

Conducting multi-tiered virtual and in-person CHW and clinical care team training programs
Designing, coordinating, and evaluating CHW programs
Supporting CHW professional networks

CHW INITIATIVES and Community Engagement

Building awareness and advocating for community CHWs
Collaborating with community stakeholders and partners to grow and sustain the CHW workforce. This work includes advocating for policy changes to enable CHW certification and supporting sustainable financing

Policy, Advocacy, and Research

Providing training and hosting webinars to advocate for sustainable CHW financing
Researching and educating stakeholders on sustainable financing
